September 15 is the application deadline for coaches interested in the U21 Men's International Cup Team and the Canada Games Women's Team programs for 2013. Interested applicants should send their resume, along with a detailed copy of their proposed three year program to the Executive Technical Director at 4242 Water Street, Miramichi, NB, E1N 4L2.  Applicants must be fully certified at Level III (or new Comp Dev) in the NCCP Program by December 2011.  For further information please contact Peter McLean, Tel: (506) 773-3507 or e-mail: pmclean@nbnet.nb.ca.
 
 
October 1 is the deadline for nominations for the Annual Awards Evening being held October 23, 2010 in Moncton.  You can nominate coaches, organizations/builders, volunteers and players in the following categories.  Information should include category, contact information, and a bit about the person you are nominating.  Information should be sent to Pete Mclean at 4242 Water Street, Miramichi NB, E1N4L2.  Has someone made a difference in your softball summer?

Have you qualified to attend an eastern Canadian championship?  Make sure your paperwork is in order.  Contact Pete McLean as soon as possible after you qualify to let him know if you are attending and what the procedure would be before you pick up any players.
 
Region directors now have FUNDRAISING TICKETS, SCOREBOOKS (for each registered team) and Softball Canada's CANPITCH video.  If you are interested in these products please call them.
 
Thanks to all 182 people who came out and celebrated the 17th Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony held June 26th at the Fredericton Inn.  It was a great night to celebrate softball!

Congratulations to the Fredericton Boys Fastpitch Association on their successful bid for the 2011 and 2012 midget boys Canadian Championship.  Games will be held at Prospect Park in Fredericton. 
 
 
A reminder to all teams & leagues - the official softball of Softball New Brunswick is WORTH available at local sport suppliers.  
 
In 2012 several age changes will take effect across Canada.

*final vote on this will be at the President's meeting in May and result will be submitted to Sport Canada/Canada Games Council for possible change in 2013.

We will have more information soon on this program on our new website.
 
Are you looking to start winter indoor practices and skills clinics with your players but need information on how to conduct indoor practices or what to do.  There are many resources (experienced coaches) in the province that can help.  Stay tuned for a list of coaches that will be willing to assist you.
