Fredericton, NB to Host 2026 U15 Girls Canadian Fast Pitch Championship

Fredericton, NB - Softball New Brunswick is proud to announce that the 2026 U15 Girls Canadian Fast Pitch Championship will be held at Prospect Park in Fredericton from July 28th to August 2nd, 2026. The tournament is expected to welcome 20 of the top U15 female fast pitch teams from across Canada, bringing six days of elite softball competition to the capital region.

This event marks the third Canadian Championship Softball New Brunswick has hosted since 2022, showcasing the province’s growing reputation as a top-tier destination for major softball events.  An experienced host committee will once again lead the charge - returning with enthusiasm and a strong track record - to help bring another national female championship to New Brunswick.

Softball New Brunswick is also excited to continue working closely with the City of Fredericton, whose support has been instrumental in securing and planning this championship. The collaboration and commitment from city staff have played a key role in bringing another marquee sporting event to Prospect Park. 

Tournament Co-Chairs Matt Whipple and Hillary Pineau, both members of Softball New Brunswick’s Board of Directors, are thrilled to welcome the nation’s best young talent.

“We’re eager to bring this tournament to New Brunswick,” said Pineau. “It gives us the opportunity to showcase what our province has to offer, to highlight the female fast pitch game, and to celebrate the incredible growth we continue to see in women’s softball across New Brunswick.”

The New Brunswick Selects will compete in the championship as the host team, providing local athletes an opportunity to play for a gold medal on home soil in front of family, friends, and community supporters.

The championship is expected to draw significant spectator attendance, creating a major economic and sporting impact within the region. It will also stand as one of the biggest highlights of the year as Softball New Brunswick celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026.
